Choctaw County High School Senior, Eli Green, enjoyed his day shadowing Mr. Brandon Estes with Campbell Global. Eli was able to see various parts of what a forester does. They visited active job sites in Choctaw and Noxubee counties, flew a drone over a finished job site to get a better view, flagged off SMZ’s so that loggers wouldn’t get in the creek, and looked for a deed at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse. Eli is ready to pursue forestry after high school.

Choctaw County High School Senior, Hunter Braswell, had the pleasure to job shadow Teresa Brooks Realtor, Broker Associate with Starkville Properties. She shared with Hunter things like how to become a realtor/real estate agent, what to expect when starting out, how the housing market has been changing lately, and they looked at a lot of houses she currently has on the market. Hunter now has a better idea of what it takes to become a successful realtor.

Choctaw County High School Senior, Carson Lee, spent the day job shadowing Dr. Nabers in Louisville. Carson enjoyed seeing the patients and experiencing a day as a veterinarian. He was able to see two dogs with parvo, a dog with an eye fungus, and surgery on a small dog kicked by a cow with a torn back muscle. As an aspiring veterinarian this was a great learning experience for Carson.
